Hi I'm 13 by the way and you know if you have Comcast on Demand I clicked on the Sports & Fitness section and I clicked on start walking i clicked the 2 mile walk and i walked my neighborhood 7 times today its a pretty big neighborhood and i did 200 pushups and i'm my height is 5'5 so how many calories did i burn?
i did this yesterday!
by the way i do this everyday even in rain sometimes




i did 100 pushups in the morning and at night i did 100 pushups so that is 200

If your really want to keep track of your burned calories. You better buy a fitness book. This book will show your fitness index and will suggest nutritional methods to counter balance your everyday workouts

If you want to lose weight not build muscle then you need lots and lots of cardio! Cardio is running cycling swimming! You can burn upto 500 calories by doing 2-3 hours of cardio!

If you want muscle-Push ups, weight lifting,crunches...etc.

So If I were you I would combine these two first do your muscle exercices then cardio to burn the fat off the muscles so they can show and you can look fit and healthy! Also no junk food and sweats and carbonated drinks!

100 push-ups = 10 calories burned but 20 grams of muscle gained



a mile walk would be close to 20 calories



remember you need to eat about 3500 calories a day



your body burns approx. 3600-4000
