i don't have any symptoms at all. I am working and am a mother of two naughty kids. Lately, i am undergoing a lot of stress in my family i.e. my mother-in-law being hospitalized, misunderstandings with my hubby and in laws. I feel i am neglected. Added to that, after my marriage, i relocated to different state, (away from my parents and siblings). Are these factors play a role in my raised BP? what shall i do to bring it down? I am not taking any medication for BP, this is the first time that i came to know abt this. My dad has hypertension.

first time does not mean you have high bp unless this measurement persist before going for medication watch your BP for few month watch it at different time morning evening day and with different doctor or compunder.Stress and anger may not be the majar factor of high bp but it may be due to other factors too like overweight, obesity .you may go for simple pranayam and meditation to control if it stillpersist than go for medication

Whenever there is a mood swing, change in stress level, there would be fluctuation in the BP .The reasons you have mentioned could be the cause for the change in your BP.

You can go for medication,if you suffer from any symptoms related to your BP like giddiness, irritability, change in appetite or any biological change else try have control over what happens around you.

I would suggest, though much pressure and uncomfortable things happens, you need to maintain an emotional balance for having good health.

Others may be wrong, but you are the person undergoing stress and spoiling your health.

Try to find some time- atleast 30min a day, to spend for yourselves

If thats not possible, rely on a person with whom you can share your inner feelings and relax.Even calling up your dear ones regularly, may comfort you.

Take care of your mind and body

Sorry about all of the horror stories you have heard so far. Unfortunately your doctors must consider you high risk because of your age. They are obligated to tell you all of the risk. However, many older women, even older than you deliver healthy babies. My mother was 41 years old when she delivered me. I was born 12 days over due and I was 6 lbs 0.5 oz and was 18 inches long. Even though I was considered small I was healthy and developed normally and even went on to walk at an early age. The only health problem I had as a child was asthma and I am now 23 years old and 32 weeks with my 2nd pregnancy. I hope my story brings some light into your situation.

Your blood pressure is too high. It may or may not be stress related, so I would advise that you go to the doctor. They may not put you on medication immediately. My doctor checked my blood pressure for 3 or 4 weeks before I was put on medication. In the beginning they may just give you a diuretic. You don't have to have symptoms to have a problem with high blood pressure. My brother had slightly high readings off and on for several years and at age 40 had a massive stroke, so you definitely need to check this out. They don't call it the silent killer for nothing.

At this age your BP should be 130/70. May be because of present circumstance your BP is little high. Better consult your family Doctor. Do not be careless Do not take any medicines without consulting.a Doctor.Do not keep any tension. It will be alright very soon. God bless you.

These factors might be playing a role in your BP but in any case I suggest you get yourself to a doctor ASAP.

looking for diagnoses on the internet doesn't solve anything, get checked out by a physician and he'll determine the right course of action.

Mine was 152/106 the other day when I went to the doctors.

I take medication for it, but it has lost it's effectiveness. Stress will definitely effect it, as well as diet and other factors. Talk to your physician. Medications work differently for people.

get it maintained....

if not you'll end up like me.. i'm a malignant hypertensive..without my meds i'd be 290/225.

but i'd die in violent pain first.... don't want that.

:D

get it checked... get a doctor... see an endochronologist!

change the diet... stop eating processed foods.. start exercising and maintain your body.

if not... it's not a pretty sight.. trust me on this.. i had the typical malignant attack... blindness.. bleeding in the eyes... blood in the urine... all that junk.

i was in critical condition in icu 2 for 2 weeks.... i don't ever ever ever want that again.. they had me hooked to a machine and on very seriously fun painkillers.

nah, start now.... while you're still moderate.

isnt the maximum 120/80.. Perhaps lower your salt intake, and try to relieve some stress.. My mom also has high blood pressure, but its because she has two small energetic children.. Eat foods that lower your blood pressure. My moms doctor prescribed meds, because it will really strain your heart.
