how do i stop drinking pop?

I really want to stop drinking pop. I know that it is a big reason im am fat. I can usually go a week without it when i try, but for some reason i always end up drinking it after a week. I really want to lose weight and getting rid of pop will help me do that. When i do drink pop, it can be a can to a liter or 2 a day

Questions:
1. how can i stop drinking pop for good
2. how much will i lose if i get rid of it all together
3. why do i keep going back to the pop

1. Don't switch to diet coke, doesn't work for most people I know. Instead you should find something like apple juice or some type of juice that you really like and try getting addicted to that instead. Trust me I'm not over weight and never was, but my parents didn't want me to drink pop anymore, cuz it's unhealthy and then I realized how unhealthy it was, so I wanted to stop drinking it and so I started drinking juice that I liked or arizona tea and stuff and no I didn't stop drinking pop right away, but I drank it less and less over time and now when I taste pop I think it taste disgusting and just won't drink it.

2. You will lose a lot you won't exactly become like anerexic skinny, but you won't be fat you'll be like in the middle depending on how fat you are.

3. Cuz your addicted to it and just luv it.

Watever I said I'm not trying to be mean or make fun of you in anyway, just trying to help, so please don't take anything as me making fun off you.

basically you have to make a decision to stop drinking it, just like quitting smoking, you have to want to do it. no one is making you drink it. don't keep it in the house. don't eat out for awhile if that is tempting. tell your friends & family you want to stop drinking pop & ask for their help. they can help keep you accountable. drink water instead of diet soda or other artificially sweetened drinks because they can just keep your sweet tooth working overtime and wanting more.

hard to say how much you will lose but it could be quite a bit if you were drinking a 2 liter of soda a day! as for why you keep going back to the soda, you could be addicted to the sugar or caffeine. also it is just a bad habit like other things: smoking, overeating, drinking, etc. good luck!

to stop drinking pop that's all will power. try to find another drink that's healthy and tastes good, i drink a lot of milk but that's not for everyone. depending on your diet,you may not lose any weight at all by getting rid of pop. you keep going back to pop because you like it, its completely normal.

Start Slow i guess.

Just drink a cup or 2 only with your meal



and if your not eating a meal, drink water or tea



I stopped drinking Coke cold Turkey

and lost 10 pounds in like a month



and i did not work out that first month at all.

just normal stuff

all i did was stop drinking coke,

and at dinner time, i would eat my plate and not go back for 2nds



Soda was never that big of a deal for me tho, so it was easy for me to stop drinking it

i was like you i love pop alot but when i knew it was affecting my ability to play sports and adding pounds fast i just said no. i started to drink diet for a little then i totally stop cuse i know about the risk factors and all.try to do some research about how bad pop is and that will help convince your body you really dont need pop

Just don't drink it, every time you want one, drink water instead and tell yourself no and mean it. Remind yourself thats a big reason that you're a fatty. Post a sign on the fridge or wherever the pop is that reminds you.

to stop drinking pop the best thing is to just not buy it! when your at the store buy juice or something to substitute. also if your trying to lose weight. drink lots of water, try drikning it with crushed ice, it always makes it more enjoyable for me^_^ you keep going back to pop because its addictive. and the best way to get rid of addiction is to substitute it for something more healthy. my aunty used to smoke and then to quit she chewed on straws instead lol sounds wierd but it worked....she still chews on straws tho lol

try getting diet soda, or find a healthy drink that you can switch it with, iv heard green tea is great
