If I start working out an hour a day, 5 days a week. How quickly will I see results? I plan on doing a workout, where I do arms one day, shoulders the next, pecs, and so on. Is this a good idea? Or how should I space them out, or which should I group together on the same days? Also if I do arm exercises and pec exercises, do I have to do exercises specific to forearms to?

You should work upper body one day, lower body the next, then upper, then lower, etc. Don't work the same body part on consecutive days, because they need time to recover and build new muscle before being strained again. However, you can works abdominals every day you work out.

If you want to build your forearms, then you have to do exercises specific to them, though they'll get some workout from the other exercises.

The main problem with a 5 day a week workout, regardless of what muscle groups you work is there's not enough time for rest and recovery. The gym is for tear down. Rest is for buildup.

It may be better to work only two muscle groups at each session. As for you arm question. If you do bies and tries (which is a compound movement, push, pull) yes, work the forearms as well and don't forget the brachialis (the middle muscle in the arm) Hammer curls will work well. By concentrating on just two muscle groups you can work them till exhaustion because the next day you'll only be working them indirectly as supporting muscles for the two other parts worked. A lot of guys work chest and triceps together because you'll want to work the large muscles group of the chest first and in doing a killer chest routine you'll pre exhaust the tires and they'll be easy to load. The two body part routing should only take about an hour. Try to keep leg day on a day by itself. Give your legs at least 6 days rest before hitting them again. That's a very large group within itself and they work all the time just carrying you around. If you really want to pup the Calv's do them with ab day. My leg routine is so intense I don't have much strength to work the Calv's the way I need to so I separated them. Once you start you'll see what works best for you. Keep it up. With proper diet and a good routine you'll notice a difference in a couple or weeks. Don't let the scale rule what and how you eat, don't look at yourself in the mirror at home looking for changes right away. Mirrors in the gym are good for watching motion and balance. Just wear oversize clothes like I do....When I look right....I'll come out of the sweatshirt, but even then only for half of the workout.

It's a lifestyle change...you'll like what you see.

Good for you for getting started.....

you just wana get buff quick don'tyou??

haha

If you work out 3 times a week, say monday, wednesday, friday and then give yourself the weekend off, your gonna see results in a bout 4-6 months.

Focus specific areas each day, but only once a week. like tricepts, pecs, shoulders one day. then back, abs, legs another etc... u know what I mean? You'll see good results.

and eat lots of protein. Like chicken, fish, eat pasta's too, burgers. all the healthy stuff!!

i love to paintings on my center and higher frame considering that i believe like i've extra balance, whilst i paintings on my slash my legs shake an excessive amount of and that i lose stability simply, that is almost always for the reason that that i've a foul knee on one leg and my ankle at the different has been damaged two times. I exercise as soon as an afternoon (three units of every exercise) I transfer among curls, tricep presses, pushups, lat pull downs and shoulder shrugs sooner or later and situps, lunges, squats and cleans one more day. i attempt to get in a two-three mile run both at the treadmill or external no less than four occasions per week if i cant daily motivation is the largest obstacle for me
