If you scrutinise the reviews for both diets you can judge for yourself.
You can see the reviews for both diets in web searches for "jenny craig diet reviews" and "nutrisystem diet reviews".

I am not diabetic but I can tell you about Jenny Craig. Don't buy it! Their food is expensive and it is not very good. The actual food does NOT look like the pictures on their website. They put a lot of garlic and spices in it and it does not taste like what you might think. I tried the Jenny Craig diet for a couple of months and quit because I got tired of eating the same thing every week. They only had a few choices which I liked. I usually ended up eating out or going to the store and buying what I wanted to eat. As far as their 'Diabetic Plan,' I think all they do is cut out the cake and cookies.
I have not tried Nurtrisystem, but from looking at their website, it looks like the same food products that Jenny Craig has. You're probably not going to find any ratings on either one as they do not report their information. The number of clients they have, total sales, etc., is confidential.
If I were you I would just make up my own diet. It would be a lot cheaper than buying the food at Jenny Craig or Nutrisystem. One more thing . . . don't expect to get any 'counseling' from Jenny Craig. All they want to do is sell you their expensive food.

Well, Jenny Craig and Nutrisystem are quite pricey. They both require you to buy their own food. In fact, I know someone doing Nutrisystem right now, and it is costing her $250 a month. Weight Watchers, on the other hand, is all about counting points. You only have to pay money to get started, and then if you continue going to the meetings. I used to do it, and I kept the little packet of information in the future, and never went to the meetings. You eat your own food, and you just use a little card to count your points. Every grocery store carries little TV dinners called "Smart Ones" that tell you exactly how many points they are, and Applebee's even has a little Weight Watchers menu that tells you the points. I'd go with Weight Watchers, it's very effective and inexpensive.

A lot of people fall off of those plans. The people who lose weight are the ones who stick with it, and are consistent afterward with keeping your diet on track. You need a lifestyle change, not a diet. Diet implies temporary change, which is what you will expect. You can't go back to your old ways or you gain weight all over again. Those diets are too expensive to keep on forever so you would be better off spending your money at the local farmers market to find good fresh foods you can enjoy. Healthier eating starts with accepting a lifestyle change. There is nothing wrong with a treat now and then, but too many people live on what should be treats.
I wish you the best of luck with whatever choice you make.
