I had my nave pierced 13 years ago. It took approx. 6-8 months to heal. You must clean it very well everyday with Betadine to prevent infection. It did not hurt, and was nice for the time that I wore jewelry in it. I eventually quit wearing the ring, and now it seems to have closed up. I wore the rings in it for 6 years. If you want to do it, and will keep up with it, I say do it and enjoy!

a few steps to take once you have your navel periced one is to take baths with no detergents just some salt or a dash os savlon or anticeptic liquid in it. also spray on a savlon spray daily as it will kill off any infection and help it heal quicker, don't change it till at least 6 months.
