trying to get back into shape. Easy 10 pts for advice?

Okay heres the story. The past 2 years I havn't been allowed to work out due to personal issues. Well now i'm finaly able to go back to the gym but can only do cardio, so now i'm determind to get back into shape. I don't care how long it takes me to get back into shape i'm willing to take it step by step.

I've been eating healthier for the past week, i've been drinkin more water then I usualy do and i've stopped drinking soda which is probably were most of my weight comes from and from not being able to work out.

So I'm planning to go to the gym for about an hour every day to work on my cardio and try and start losing weight.

Also, I plan on taking a 30min to 60min walk in the morning after I eat and the same amount of time after I eat dinner, or should I go before I eat breakfast and dinner?

I would like some helpful tips on losing weight like:
-foods that i should
-what type of exercises i should be doing ( plz dnt include any weight lifting since I cant do that)
-when I should eat, and how many hours apart should my meals and snacks be? ( I kno, no eating after 6pm)

foods that i should eat = just watch the carbs. Grilled chicken is excellent, brown rice (not white rice), tuna, fruits, veggies, lean meat or beef is fine in moderate servings.. ect. It really comes down to how much you eat. Stay away from from frozen meals (high sodium), cokes, anything fried.. you get the point.



-what type of exercises i should be doing - well if you can't lift weights then you have the elliptical, tread mill, stair master, and bike. The bike is worthless. Elliptical is your best bet. Stair master is good for toning your legs since you can't lift weights. I'd do you cardio in the early AM before breakfast.



-when I should eat, and how many hours apart should my meals and snacks be? Eat after your AM cardio. Small meals through out the day are what you want. No large meals. Eating every few hours speeds your metabolism up. If you only eat 2 large meals in a day your metabolism, slows down and you won't burn off your meals. So eat every 3 hrs SMALL meals/snacks. Example - 7am Cardio, 8:30 breakfast, 11:30 lunch, 2:30 snack, 5:30 dinner, 8:30 small snack before bed Apple or something). You can eat after 6pm if you eat the right foods.



You need to make sure you are getting enough sleep too. Your body needs rest. Get it in a routine. Also you don't need to go to the gym every single day. Your body will get worn out. 4 days a week is plenty 5 is pushing it. When getting in shape 70% starts in the kitchen and the other 30% is the gym. The gym is just a tool not the main building block. You do need them both though. Kinda goes back to the old saying "You are what you eat"

You Have To Eat Healthy And Exercise Well. You Have To Burn More Calories Than You Consume, And If You Consume Less, You'll Have To Burn Less As Well. Cut Out ALL Junk Foods. The Key To Weight Loss Is Basically Eating. NOT Starving Yourself Or Even Bulimic Intentions. Just Eat Healthy And Live Well.

-Cake

-Pie

-Candy

-Chocolate

-Cream

-Mushrooms
