1.eating a balanced meal, not so much that your stuffed and not so much that your starved, I suggest drinking a glass of water before u sit down for your meal. Eat a plate with 1/3 of your plate being fruits and veg, 1/4 being carbs ( whole carbs such as whole grains, brown rice, wheat instead of white pasta), an a protein portion about the size of your palm. Also when u start eating start with your veg many people neglect them.

1. Yes you can loose weight. A lot of people who are super restrictive because they'll make a mistake, binge, then quit. So making sure your balances is always good. Remember loosing weight is 80% diet 20% excersize.

3. Yes some are a little less restrictive and give themselves a snack a day, and some give themselves either a meal or day a week where they let themselves eat whatever. It's up to you but just make sure your not getting out of control and still watching what you eat

Eating in moderation requires knowing which food and beverage choices are best, portion sizes for each, and knowing how much your body needs to fuel your planned activities.

I learned a great deal about moderation when I used the Atkins diet for six weeks (I had personal issues with their bars and shakes which I felt were sugar triggers).

A healthy, well balanced diet of proteins, fats, and carbs will keep your weight down without exercise. Exercise is important to stay fit.

Processed food and beverage choices are not healthy choices when you could be eating fresh foods. Everything is a trade-off. What good fresh foods are you passing up to consume this junk is a question you need to ask yourself. Remember, a calorie is only a calorie until it is swallowed.

Eating in moderation is a good idea to keep a check on weight. But how you eat is also important. You should chew the food properly, at least 32 times each bite. This will cause a profound effect on your health and will increase strength and vitality dramatically with no weight issues to worry about.

Avoid junk food at any cost. Bread, burger and pizza are the worst things we eat. So, avoid them.

1. You eat healthy food until you are full....not stuffed. I would suggest you cut down on the carbs (rice, potatoes, pasta and bread).

2. Yes, providing you eat healthy as well. (If you had an entire pie for a meal. no).

3. No sugar or any junk food, so sorry!! Please, no sodas, as they bloat badly.......you will do well, but you have to set your mind to it....you can do it. Personally, I would chose 1 day a week when I eat all the foods I like. This will not make you gain weight. It will give you something to look forward to, and give you motivation for the next week. >3

Hello there,

If you want to lose weight, become fit, and stay fit and healthy, you NEED to eat in moderation! I'm glad you asked this question, because I think that inability to eat in moderation is one reason why a lot of Americans (I live in the U.S., not sure where you live) are overweight. Americans tend to consume large portions, especially when they eat at restaurants and dining facilities. But anyway, to answer your questions:

1.) In order to eat in moderation, you need to pay attention to your body. Always be aware of how hungry or full you are. If you are hungry, then by all means EAT! But the reason why some people are overweight/obese is because they eat even when they're full! If your body needs food and you feel hungry, then don't starve yourself! But once you are full, don't eat anymore! If you follow this tip and go by your hunger level every time, you won't overeat or consume too large portion sizes.

2.) Yes! It WILL help you lose weight! To only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you consume! It's important to eat in moderation, even if you eat mostly healthy foods. I saw this one documentary of this one obese 5 year old kid who ate mostly healthy foods but ate them excessively. So as you can see, not only do you need to aim for healthy foods (such as fruits and vegetables), you need to control the portion size that you are consuming!

3.) Yes, it's OK to eat junk food AS LONG AS you do so in moderation. It's OK to eat McDonald's once every two weeks. But because junk food is by definition less healthy than healthy food, you have to REALLY control your junk food intake. You know how I told you to eat healthy food in moderation? Well, your level of junk food consumption needs to be even more moderate!

I REALLY hope this helps! Good luck!
