Anony You can always cross check the number. You burn calories at a rate of 35 calories per mile. That being the case you would need to have ridden 30miles, or 15 mph to hit that number. It is very achievable. BUT do not trust the number by itself..... Cross check the number by keeping track of speed and distance as I just did. Many of thos calorie counting systems are all wrong! Swimming and circuit training are great exercises to burn calories- around 472 cals per hour dependant on speed and intensity

Cycling fast - can burn over 500 cals per hour, dependant on speed

From what I hear swimming actually burns more calories because you are using more muscles. So try doing 2 hours of laps.

An hour run = about 600 calories

A 2 hour run = about 1,200 calories

My guess would be to run, pretty hard, for about an hour ad 40 minutes or the full two hours.

Interval traing. Cross training. Throw in some free weights but do olympic style exercises or ones that use multiple muscle groups: deadlifts, bench press, clean and jerk, chinups etc. Throw in a mixture of body weight exercises too to supplement the 'cardio' work. As far as weight range, aim for a medium weight and higher reps. You don't need to lift half a ton, but you will need to bust your rump.

Get on a treadmill or an elliptical trainer and run like hell.
