Hiya. Today I went to the podiatrist and they told me I had severely flat feet. My arch has completely collapsed in both feet and when I do too much legwork sport (e.g walking 5km or recently playing a 45min game of lacrosse) my feet begin to feel terribly tired. They also said that my feet will never be normal, so I'm kinda like.. devastated :/

I don't want to do swimming even if it IS the most beneficial since it's too much of a hassle. Running is also a bad sport since my feet are so bad.

But I've got the arch supports and I'm doing the tip-toe thing every day!
Thanks so much <:}

Maybe tennis? It's a little bit of running but not much. Badminton, and swimming but you don't want to do that. Try just walking for a little bit I have quite flat feet and I can still jog :)

Good luck.

People with flat feet should really be able to do any sport, so long as they have the proper footwear. Visiting a sport medicine physician, an orthopedist, or a physical therapist would be a good idea so they can help you figure out which type of shoes to buy and if you'll need orthotic inserts for your shoes. I've never heard of people with flat feet not being let into the Army, that just doesn't make sense.

Actually, as long as you have flexible flat feet (that is when a natural arch forms while you're not in weight-bearing state) your condition can be corrected. It will involve the consistent practice of several exercises for a period of time. I've successfully helped many do so. If you wish further information, email me, k.sordo@gmail.com

use foot support added to your shoes, and you should be fine.

i have a flat feet, and served in the army for 3 years, i'm running twice a week 6 miles, and go to a lot of hiking.

on the bad side of the story i replace both my shoes and foot support on average every four months.
