It is called the obesity paradox.
Being overweight can actually help you in the long run. Weight itself is not a health problem, except in the most extreme cases (i.e., being underweight or so fat you’re immobilized). In fact, fat people live longer than thin people and are more likely to survive cardiac events, and some studies have shown that fat can protect against “infections, cancer, lung disease, heart disease, osteoporosis, anemia, high blood pressure, rheumatoid arthritis and type 2 diabetes.”
Accepting yourself as you are, no matter your weight, can actually improve your health in the long run. Body size is mainly genetic. No one knows how to make a naturally thin person fat any more than they know how to make a naturally fat person thin

I can't think of one single reason why being obese would not be bad for a persons health. It causes so many problems with the body, and can make the person suseptible to all kinds of health problems and concerns. I don't think there really is a good reason to be obese. Oh, hey, I thought of one....If you want a shorter life, it's good to be obese...

People better learn that you are not supposed to advertise on answers, it is considered spam. You can get turned in for it. This is NOT the place to try to earn a buck !! I'm not talking about the people that say use this diet or that diet, or show websites, I'm talking about the people that are actually selling heath foods and herbs and try to make money off the people on answers. I turn them in.
