Yes, there can be a risk for kidney stones, as well as salt deposits in your bones. Stick to the dosage of the package and / or to your doctor's recommendations. If you want to take more natural calcium, a very good source is sesame seeds (like tahina) and green leafy vegetables. Another good option is kefir (hey you can even make it yourself)!

You can get kidney stones. And kidney damage. And the body deposits the calcium in other areas where it does not belong.
Immediate symptoms of an overdose would be:
Abdominal pain
Bone pain
Coma
Confusion
Constipation
Depression
Diarrhea
Headache
Irregular heartbeat
Nausea
Vomiting
Even if you do not experience those symptoms you can still end up with renal damage or stones or other problems. And you will regret it for life. There is a reason that they put the recommended daily allowance on the bottle.

if for a one time incidence only, then that would be okay.
but if it is maintained daily and granting that you have calcium levels within normal range usually, meaning, you don't not have any disorders that need much calcium supplementation or your body is able to store and release calcium normally, then most likely super extra calcium supplements can cause calcium calcifications like as kidney stones or other forms of stones in the urinary system probably.
and since calcium works as an electrolyte as well, with excess calcium, you may also have irregularities in your heart rhythm, muscle weakness, paresthesias (tingling sensations in extremities), irritability, anxiety, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea.

Taking too much calcium can lead to kidney stones. Kidney stones r mainly composed of calcium that is filtered through the kidney. They r very painful and i suggest u dont try it.
