If you think about it logically, a water diet isn't going to work for the rest of your life. You might lose weight on it but that's not a way to keep the weight off. Try exercise and a healthy, balanced diet. Plus if you go to an all water diet, your body will go into starvation because it's not getting the vitamins and minerals it needs.

going on a water diet is a short term fix. you are young. the thing you need to do is exercise more. play outside with your friends, ride your bike. There are a lot of ways that you can lose weight without going on a crash diet. this type of diet only works for a little way then you will gain your weight back. Also watch you portion size will help also.

Hi,

I don't think you should do a total water diet...just be sure to

replace soda drinks and too much sugar drinks with the water.

drink at leat 64 ounces through out the day while cutting back on

pasta and potatoes...stuff like that. You should be fine as long as you

eat in moderation.

No!Don't do that!!! I used to weight 133 and I was your same height I lost 20 pounds in 2 1/2 months [consider it 3 months] just by cutting out sugars, fast foods and doing cardio and weight lifting exercises. You should try doing High intensity intervals for cardio.Try this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AimPOSXe7n4 it works great! but try doing that whole thing 8 times for a whole workout.it only takes 32 minutes but if you want to take breaks in between please do[i do it too!]

Going on fad diets just slows your metabolism which just makes it harder for you to lose weight and causes very bad health problems.Be sure to drink tons of water anyway!

P.S.I'm 13 by the way.But don't try to lose more than 15 pounds in 2 months.

as long as you eat food with the water you will be fine! seriously though cut out soda and sugar and fatty foods and do some exercise, get some friends to join in on bike rides or running, have some fun too as well as getting fit and losing fat. But if you start silly fads you could regret it the rest of your life, it can cause that many problems, things you wont understand until its too late. So please do it the right way and have fun while losing weight. Talk to your parents if they feed you unhealthy food and go shopping with them to pick out whats healthy maybe you can change their eating habits for the better. Please think before you do anything and talk to your friends about doing some sports together. I wish you luck

What? Do you mean a water fast? And you should not be on here if you are only 12. Always check with a doctor first before doing anything that drastic.

Yes you could if you want to be unhealthy. By restricting your calories, you'll destroy your metabolism. Your body will want to keep the fat it's storing, and instead start using your muscles as energy. You'll lose weight, but that's because your body will be literally "eating" itself, and you won't shred an ounce of fat. Once you start eating again, your body will want to store even more of those calories as fat. Essentially, a water diet is a bad idea.

No that is very, very dangerous.

especially at your age, you can actually cause yourself to drown.

Drinking too much water can shut down vital organs very quickly.
