Hi...i am 15 and i am 5'6.My father is 5'7 and mother is 5'4.For predicting my height i used many height calculaters (from google) and most showed my predicted-full height as 5'7..So i just wanna ask increasing my protein Diets will increase my height more than 5'7 B'coz atleast i want to be 5'10 or 5'11.Please answer seriously and correctly B'coz i'll be really taking your advice...Also give me any other tips and all that stuff..

To reach your potential height you need adequate sleep (from 8-10 hours per night), adequate calories and a normal healthy diet.

Don't listen to those "formulas" that supposedly can predict height.I have had a look at those formulas and they are all different formulas,therefore the predicted heights will all be different for every single website.Protein is important for growing.It helps muscles get bigger and stronger.When your muscles get bigger,you will grow taller.Don't go on a huge protein diet though.Too much protein can result in a lot of calories,and a lot of calories can make you gain a lot of weight over time.You need to exercise also.One of the most important aspects in growing.Remeber to stretch before and after exercises.Get plenty of sleep also.You need about 8-9 and a half hours of sleep a night.Hoped this helped and don't stress to much about your height.Your 15 and your 5'6.Males stop growing till their 21 and you still have 6 years to go.

Dude..play basketball! you are so lucky you are only 15. I grew up without sports, and im short. I dont care what anyone says, doing basketball WILL improve your height. Swimming is also good.



Increasing protein does not necessarily increase your height. If you go to the gym or do a lot of exercise, then make sure you take lots of protein, because the protein in your body goes straight to repairing your muscles from sport, and then there is nothing left to make you grow...this is one of the reasons why people who start lifting at young age become short. It has nothing to do with the exercise...just the diet.



I can also add that to grow you need lots of testosterone. This steroid is made from fat, so make sure you get lots of HEALTHY fats. These come from eggs (yolks), almonds and nuts, healthy oils and fruits such as kiwi and avocado.



Although your genetics play a huge role in your height, i honestly think you can grow to even 6ft from basketball and a good diet.

Lack of sleep can prevent proper growth. Get at least 7 hours of sleep per night.

Drinking milk may help you get taller, but it might make you fatter. Drink one or two glasses of milk a day.

Hanging onto a bar or something helps to lengthen your spine and will, in the long run, increase your height.

There's nothing you can do to cheat your genetics. A healthy diet(protein included) is important to help you grow, but it certainly won't make you any taller than what your genetics have in store for you. Unlike what the other person said, building muscles won't make you any taller.

Thanks guys for all your answers.When I wrote the above question I was 15 and 5'6.Today after 3 years I'm 18 and 5'10.I prooved all the predictions of hieght calculator absolutely wrong.I guess a good solid well balanced diet and lots of physical activity like sports and gym helped me achieve this.Now let's see If I can grow a little more :)

I am very sorry to tell you that there isn't really anything you can do to change how tall you will become. It all depends on the genes you got from your parents and they are not change by eating, exercising, or anything like that. Very sorry. :(
